Today, I’m talking all about my favorite things for 2019! I’m giving you the scoop on what made my personal favorite things list and what I love about them. Read on for more!

This has been one of my favorite posts to write! I feel like Oprah, except you know, without the billion dollars and you’re not getting a car. Sorry. But otherwise, EXACTLY like Oprah! 😉
So, I am a list girl. My lists have lists. There’s something about a list that makes me feel organized and like everything is in order. I feel the exact same way about the end of the year. It always gets me thinking about what I’ve accomplished and what I want to tackle going forward. I love recapping the year and thinking about my favorite things this year was a fun way to review 2019 (unlike my failed diet goals – not as fun. Ha!).
My Favorite Things 2019
This is hands-down my best purchase of 2019! The Barefoot Dreams cardigan is the softest, coziest thing I’ve ever owned. I want to wear it every single day and I’m pretty sure that people think I don’t ever change my clothes at this point.
These Reef sandals are my go-to shoes the minute that it becomes socially acceptable to wear flip-flops in Michigan. I really don’t end up wearing anything else (unless I need to wear something dressier). They are super padded and really comfortable to wear for long amounts of time.
I tried a few of the Drunk Elephant products earlier this year when I got the Lala Retro Whipped Cream in my monthly Sephora kit and reallllly liked it. They are made in the USA and are natural, fragrance-free products. I tried the littles kit and also loved the Jelly Cleanser. The Multivitamin Eye Cream is new for the kit and I’d love to give it a go (hello, dark circles. You can leave at anytime).
I switched to a Simplified Planner 2 years ago and I absolutely LOVE it! It’s high quality and a nice size and it’s quickly become my new favorite. I’m a big fan of Emily Ley, who created the planner and her mission to help women simplify their lives.
To go with the planner, I exclusively use these Pilot Frixion erasable pens. I love that you can erase them instead of having to constantly cross stuff out all of the time. They have tons of colors to choose from too if you’re someone who likes to decorate your planner.
This is such a great show! If you haven’t seen The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel yet, you definitely need to. The costumes and sets are ah-mazing! I’m looking forward to the new season that comes out soon!
4 words for you: ever. These from Kohl’s are my absolute favorites and I wear them waaaaaaayy too much! I’m not sure why they look like floods in the picture? Don’t let that fool you – they are normal length and they’re the best!
SugarFix by Bauble Bar necklaces are my FAVE! I get so many compliments when I wear any of their rhinestone necklaces from Target. They are inexpensive + gorgeous which is a win-win in my book!
This is our family favorite! We make pizza in our Pizzeria Pronto at least a few times a month and this summer, we started using their wok kit to make stir-fry which is ridiculously good! It’s a pricier purchase but something that we’ve used over and over and over again so it’s been completely worth it!
I talked about my love for One Day in December in my Everything I Read This Summer post. It’s just a simple, fun read that’s perfect for a day at the beach. I don’t really like to read serious books so this one was right up my alley!
I’ve talked about this shirt before. Again, it’s my go-to favorite shirt to wear under my beloved cardigan sweaters. Personally, I’m all about covering up my behind so I really like these shirts. They are relatively inexpensive and admittedly, they aren’t the sort of shirt that you’ll still have years and years from now but they are definitely worth buying!
This made my favorite things list sight unseen – I’m actually waiting for them to arrive anytime now. Our friends kid’s got these Relay devices last year and I’m excited for my kid to try them! It’s probably weird to recommend something as your favorite if you haven’t tried it yet but I feel like this is worth sharing. I wanted to mention them now because they are currently on sale!
I think these are going to solve the problem of “my kids are definitely too young for phones but they are starting to get to an age where I’d feel more comfortable if they had a way to contact me (from dance class, on the bus, etc.)”. These devices are basically a 2-way radio but they also have a GPS that you can track from your phone. That’s perfect for us when our bus coming home from school can sometimes be inconsistent. I’m really looking forward to getting these and will report back with what I think!
If you’re someone who needs to sleep with some sort of noise/white noise, these little, inexpensive sound machines are awesome! They are under $20 and feature 6 sounds. We ended up buying one for multiple bedrooms in our house and I personally love it!
These glass beads are my absolute favorite thing to decorate with! I have them in every room of my house – they are perfect in bowls, hanging out of a vase or piled on top of coffee table books! You can see how I used them in my Modern Coastal Bedroom Makeover post.
So, those are just a few of my favorite things for 2019! Do you have a purchase you absolutely loved this year? Drop me a comment and let me know so I can check it out!
