When we moved into our house 10 years ago, we were coming from a home without a formal dining room. The idea of buying a dining room set seemed so expensive when we had so many other house needs and we knew it wouldn’t be used often. So when the owners offered to sell us theirs for a steal, we jumped at the chance. Fast forward to now and I am beyond ready for a change. We painted the walls Hale Navy a few years ago when we did our kitchen remodel so that helped to make it a bit more modern but I would love to lighten up the space with new furniture.
You can see our dining room and all of the updates we’ve made to our house over the past 10 years in my Our House: Then & Now post! It’s amazing what 10 years, a whole lot of paint and a kitchen remodel can do for a place!
Unfortunately for me, we have absolutely no budget set aside for this project. Wah wah wah. So in the meantime, a girl can dream, amiright? I wanted to put together this Splurge vs. Save: Dining Room mood board to show you (and my husband – ha!) that you don’t have to spend a ton to update your dining room space.
